I honestly can’t say enough good things about the Dale & Company Quick Draw Backpack Sling.
First off, I love supporting a BC, Canadian company, especially when the product is this good. The customer service was fantastic, the price is incredibly affordable, and shipping was super fast.
One of my favourite things about this sling is how universal it is. I run a Mystery Ranch pack and my husband runs an older KUIU pack, and we were able to easily attach the sling to both setups. It’s simple, secure, comfortable, and keeps your rifle exactly where you need it without having to fight with your pack.
But what really sold me on this sling happened during the hike out from our successful sheep hunt.
We had an unexpected encounter with a sow and cub, and everything happened incredibly fast. In a situation where seconds mattered, I was SO thankful for this sling. Releasing it and accessing our rifles was quick, simple and instinctive—we weren’t trying to get rifles off our packs or fumbling with complicated straps. That experience alone made me realize just how valuable this piece of gear is in the backcountry.
Thankfully everything worked out, but I walked away from that encounter knowing one thing for sure: I’ll be adding a Dale & Company Quick Draw Sling to every one of our hunting packs.
Affordable, well thought out, easy to use, compatible with different packs, and made right here in BC. This is one of those simple pieces of gear that I genuinely wouldn’t want to hunt without now.

Used the sling on a back country Appalachian deer hunt, absolutely love it, it is easy to use and keeps rifle perfectly out of the way, but quickly accessible. Hiked 23 miles in 2 days with it and never once had it hinder anything. I can’t reccomend it enough.
It took a second to figure out, But once I did it works Great!
