About: Outdoor Gear by Dale & Company
Dale & Company started in 2022 with a simple problem.
The mountains we hunt in British Columbia are steep, wet, and unforgiving. In that kind of country, you often need both hands to climb, glass, or move through rough terrain.
But traditional rifle slings didn’t work.
They slipped off your shoulder.
They forced you to keep one hand on the rifle.
And they made it harder to move quickly and safely.
In terrain where you might suddenly find mountain goats below you—or an opportunity that lasts only seconds—that kind of gear just doesn’t cut it.
So we built something better.

The Solution
The First Product
The first product was a rifle sling designed to solve a very specific problem:
A sling that stays secure on your shoulder while climbing steep terrain, but still allows fast access when you need it.
No constant adjustment.
No hand holding the rifle in place.
Just a simple system that works.
That idea became the Quick Draw Backpack Sling.
And once that problem was solved, other ideas followed.
Solving Real Problems in the Field
Every product in the Dale & Company lineup started the same way:
A problem encountered in the mountains.
A piece of gear that didn’t quite work.
A better solution built from scratch.
Today the lineup includes binocular harness systems, bear spray holsters, rifle slings, and technical outdoor apparel—each designed with the same philosophy:
Simple. Functional. Built to perform when it matters.
Designed and Tested in Canada
The terrain that inspires our gear is some of the toughest in North America.
Steep alpine slopes.
Wet coastal forests.
Long climbs above treeline.
If gear works here, it will work anywhere.
Every design is built with those conditions in mind and tested where it actually matters—outside.
Stay Wild
The mountains demand preparation.
The right gear makes it possible to go farther, move faster, and stay out longer.
That’s why we build what we build.
